land-wikimediaThe Anambra Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Mrs Uju Nworgu, said that free land awaited investors willing to build infrastructure in the state for investment purposes.

In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Awka, she attributed the government’s gesture to the desire for the development of the state.

According to her, the state on its own cannot execute the projects.

“A lot of work is to be done in developing the infrastructural deficit of the state.

“The government has therefore decided to encourage prospective investors by offering them land to put up structures for their businesses.”

Nworgu also assured investors that with the commitment of the state government in tackling insecurity, they would be safe and their investments thrive as expected.

“With the commitment of His Excellency in putting a halt to activities that breeds insecurity in the state, investors can be rest assured of recouping their investments.

“Already, investors are trooping into the state.

“On Tuesday, a multi-million naira investment MOU was signed with an investor to build modern abattoirs with the state government donating land for the purpose,” she said.
