NGE’s team at a glance
One of the major activities at the 2015 Biennial Convention of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) held in Lagos last week was the election of executive members to pilot the activities of the association.
It was however not a keenly contested one, as most of the posts were returned un-opposed. At the end of the election, the followings emerged as the officials to steer the affairs of the body for two years.
Femi Adesina (President); Garba Deen Muhammed (Deputy President); Steve Ayorinde (Vice President, West); Suleiman Uba Gaya (Vice President, North); Fred Fabor, (Vice President, East); Victoria Ibanga (General Secretary); Mary Ibiyinka Atolagbe (Assistant Secretary); Ogbang Akwaji (Treasurer); and Funke Egbemode (Social/Publicity Secretary).
Standing committee members are Ken Ugbechie; Ray Echebiri; Austin Elewodalu; Sani Adamu; Sebastian Abu; Ken Njoku; and Juliet Njiowhor.
