Mimiko pours encomiums on Gbonigi
ONDO State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko, has described the retired Bishop of Akure Anglican Diocese, Rt. Revd Bolanle Gbonigi as a living icon who the state is blessed with.
Mimiko declared this during the dedication of Bishop Emmanuel Gbonigi Retreat Home held at Alagbaka, Akure.
The governor described Gbonigi not only as a clergy but also as an activist who was there for the people during the struggle for good governance in Nigeria.
He said: “You are a living icon. The state is blessed to have somebody like you. You are not just a clergy but an activist who was there during the struggle for good governance in this country”.
Mimiko, who was accompanied by his wife, Olukemi, and members of the state Executive Council was of the opinion that the Retreat Home would be a place where lives would be saved and transformed.
He said the success being recorded by his administration and his recorded victories during trying times were the attendant result of prayers of giants such as Bishop Emmanuel Gbonigi.
