Mexican authorities found the bullet-riddled body of a radio reporter Monday, officials said.

Armando Saldana Morales was based in the eastern state of Veracruz and his body was found in neighboring Oaxaca state, prosecutors there said.

They did not give a possible motive for the killing.

Saldana Moreles worked for a radio station called “La Ke Buena”.

He had been shot in several parts of his body, said Oaxaca prosecutor Joaquin Carrillo Ruiz. His body was found next to a white pickup truck with no licence plates.

In drug cartel-plagued Mexico, Veracruz is considered the most dangerous state in which to be a reporter.

From 2000 to September 2014, 82 journalists were killed in Mexico, according to Reporters without Borders.
