PRINCE Kashamu Buruji, the rich Senator-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who is at the moment struggling across the borders to free himself from the series of litigations hanging around his neck like an albatross, has shrugged off the extradition case in the United States of America and has moved on with his life as if nothing is happening.

The embattled politician whose victory as senator is being threatened following the drug case and the tribunal judgment, last Saturday showed up in grand style at the wedding reception of daughter of police chief, AIG Tunde Ogunsakin held at Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos.

Kashamu, who arrived the venue around 4pm, was full of life and was seen exchanging pleasantries with the bride’s father, Ogunsakin and a few other celebrities at the epoch-making wedding. After a spending few minutes at the party arena, he left with Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose.

Many no doubt were taken aback sighting the Ijebu-born politician showing up at a party despite his drug case that went viral in the polity.

Kashamu was reportedly indicted in America for allegedly smuggling heroin, in a court case and little was known about him before he returned home in 2003 from Britain despite a U.S. extradition order, to become a major financier of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Kashamu, 56, has said he is “a clean businessman” and that the 1998 indictment by a grand jury in the Northern District of Illinois for conspiracy to import and distribute heroin in the United States is a case of mistaken identity.

He has said Chicago prosecutors really want the dead brother he closely resembles.
