Kano Govt. trains 200 senior officers aspiring for managerial positions

The Kano State Government has organised a two-week training workshop for 200 senior officers aspiring for managerial positions in the state public service.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer in the office of the state Head of Service, Alhaji Mustapha Ibrahim, and made available to News Agency of Nigeria NAN in Kano on Monday.

According to the statement, the Head of Service, Dr Umar Shehu, made the disclosure at the 22nd Workshop and Examination organised for the officers by his office.

It said Shehu stated that the workshop was aimed at exposing the officers to the “daunting tasks of sustaining the furtherance of executive competence and capacities for efficient and effective service delivery’’.

He charged the officers to participate fully in the programme throughout its two-week duration in order to achieve the desired objectives.

The head of service reaffirmed the commitment of the Kwankwaso administration toward improving the welfare of workers in the state to ensure maximum productivity.

He said the administration had paid attention to the payment of entitlements of workers, especially wages and up-ward review of salary earnings of health, tertiary education and Judicial sectors.
