A YOUTH group, Nigerian Arise has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to come up with a blueprint on children and youths in Nigeria to enable Nigerians hold him responsible and accountable.

The group which described as unrealistic, campaign promises by the new administration led by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to introduce a school feeding programme and also pay N5000 stipend to unemployed youths and the elderly, noted that Buhari is inheriting a country that has no data for the employed and unemployed youths, insisting that without data, it is difficult to plan.

Speaking at the Abuja Unity Conference it organised, the Director General, Victor Ani Offong noted that by Buhari’s victory at the March 28, 2015 presidential election, he signed a social contract with Nigerians, adding that it is imperative for the president to marshal out a clear-cut policy for Nigerian children and youths.

He said: “We can place a demand on him based on his blueprint, if there is no blueprint, we cannot hold him accountable, we know that he said during his campaigns that the change the APC is professing is for the youths, especially the unemployed, but we want a blueprint out for it.”

Offong advised Buhari to form a cabinet with holistic representation that takes into account the interest of the children, youths, women and the older generation.
