Governor pays surprise visit to housing project

TO have a feel of living condition of residents at the recently commissioned CHOIS Gardens in Abijo GRA, Off Lekki-Epe Expressway, Governor Babatunde Fashola on Monday paid a surprise visit to a home owner, Mr. Patrick Okwuibe, at the sprawling residential housing estate.

Commending First World Communities Ltd, developers and promoters of Cooperative Home Ownership Incentive Scheme (CHOIS), Fashola, who praised the quality of the housing types at estate, said that the partnership between First World Communities and the state government had created jobs for some youths, adding that there was a need to replicate more of such partnership with the private sector.

The highly elated Okwuibe while expressing gratitude to the governor and First World Communities for the CHOIS Scheme, and for allowing his dreams of owning a home in Lagos State to become a reality, enjoined Lagos residents to take the opportunity presented by the partnership between the state and First World Communities for the CHOIS Scheme.

The President, First World Communities Limited, Brig-Gen. Tunde Reis (rtd) said the first and Second phases of the project have been completed.

According to him, there are about 25 hectares of land and we have developed about 15 hectares in the first two phases. The estate comprises 324 housing units of two and three bedroom apartments, among others.
