Borno Senator, Ahmad Zanna, Dies At 60
THE Vice chairman of the Senate Committee on Gas, Senator Ahmed Khalifa Zanna is dead. Born, January 5, 1955, Zannah marked his 60th birthday last January.
The late Zanna had been sick for a while. He went for treatment in the United States of America before he returned to the country on Friday.
Upon his return, he was taken to the National Hospital, Abuja where he died on Saturday. It was gathered that in 2014, the late senator representing Borno central senatorial district, went to Germany where a major operation was performed on him before returning to the country.
Zanna, a first-term senator, was initially elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ,but defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on which platform he won a second term on March 28, 2015. The Senate has made arrangements to fly his remains to Maiduguri for burial.
