A’Ibom female medical practitioners visit displaced persons in Abuja, Adamawa

IN response to afflictions of women, men and children resulting from insurgency in the North Eastern part of the country, the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (MNAN) led by its National President Dr Valerie Obot has visited the Internally Displaced Camp (IDP) at new Kuchingoro in FCT to donate food items, clothing and other relief materials worth thousands of naira to victims of staying at the camp.

The National President MWAN, Dr. Obot said the association visited the camp in line with MWAN’s Project Help, a means of ameliorating suffering of the less- privileged as well as bringing succour to the victims of insurgencies.

Obot urged the victims to be hopeful and strong in their trying times, while assuring them that they would return to their communities very soon and be reintegrated and reunited with their loved ones.

The association led by its national president had earlier visited IDPs in NYSC camp, Yola, Adamawa State where it donated a mini-water scheme to the victims.

Responding, the Women Leader at the camp, Mrs. Philemon Emmanuel thanked the group for its kind gesture. The camp has over 762 internally-displaced persons.
