Orijin, MTN, Coca Cola, others sponsor summit, awards
POISED to add colour and grandeur to the forthcoming National Marketing Stakeholders Summit/Brands and Advertising Excellence Awards, major brands and multinational companies in the country have thrown their weight behind the industry initiative through their sponsorships.
Leading the pack as a major sponsor is Orijin, a flagship beverage brand on the stable of Guinness Nigeria Plc. Others in the sponsorship kitty are: MTN Nigeria, Coca-Cola, L’Oreal, Grand Oak Ltd, May and Baker, Morning Fresh, and Unilever. Orijin, the highly successful ready-to-drink (RTD) bitters is also the official beverage at the event.
The one-day twin event organised by MARKETING EDGE, a leading brands and advertising publication, will take place on Tuesday, 5th of May, 2015, at Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event will commence in the morning with the National Marketing Summit with the theme, “A New Roadmap to Marketing in the Age of Global Oil Glut” and “Nigerian Advertising in a Generational Shift.”
Dr John Kayode Fayemi, the former governor of Ekiti State will be the Chairman of the Summit while Dr Josef Bel-Molokwu, former Registrar, Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), will be the lead speaker and is expected to deliver an address on the theme of the summit. Also, the Managing Director of Noah’s Ark, Mr Lanre Adisa, will speak on the sub-theme, “Nigerian Advertising in a Generational Shift.” Renowned marketing and advertising practitioners are expected to grace the event as the platform offers them an opportunity to brainstorm on the challenges of advertising and marketing in the present era of dwindling oil prices with a view to proffering concrete solutions.

If Orijin is the main sponsor, why is the picture accompanying the article showcasing MTN instead? Surely, this is just a case of laziness in reporting as you could have very easily obtained a picture of the Orijin brand.
We will review and take appropriate action.
