DEATH, which is the opposite of life, is the terminal point for every living organism. Death is the exit and cessation of life. No matter what is acquired in life, death terminates the usage and appropriation of every asset acquired.

Psalm 62:11 “God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that POWER BELONGETH UNTO GOD”

John 11: 25 -26 “Jesus said unto her, I AM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and BELIEVETH IN ME SHALL NEVER DIE”

DEATH, which is the opposite of life, is the terminal point for every living organism. Death is the exit and cessation of life. No matter what is acquired in life, death terminates the usage and appropriation of every asset acquired.

The tragedy of life is death, which creates irreplaceable absence and departure of loved ones. Every academic qualification or property acquired by an individual can no longer be used after death. The real war in life is the war BETWEEN LIFE AND DEATH – That is why the instinct of all living mammals is survival, security and self protection; the fight for life and living. The God of the Bible is against death in all its manifestation.

The Word of God describes God, as the God of the Living Who has the capacity to raise or quicken the dead. Mark 12:27 ”He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the Living”. Both Old and New Testaments attest to the raising of the dead by God. In fact, two individuals were preserved by God from tasting death – Enoch and Elijah in the Old Testament. The Almighty God has the capacity to give life to the dead and resurrect the dead. Romans 4:17 “(As it is written ……. even God, WHO QUICKENETH THE DEAD, and calleth those things which be not as though they were”. One of the dynamic products of the redemption that has been made available through the sacrifice
of the LORD Jesus the LAMB of GOD is the longevity of life. Jesus died young for us to live long. Despite the threat to life (Disease, Sickness, Terrorism etc) and the brevity of life, God has a Supernatural way of establishing COVENANT OF LONGEVITY with His own people. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob etc all lived long despite the challenges confronting them in their generation. THREE TIMES, Jesus RAISED THE DEAD in His earthly ministry. (1) Jesus raised Jairus’ daughter who just died. (2) In Luke 7 Jesus raised to life in the city of Nain, a young man who had died, already in a casket and was going to be buried. (3) In John 11, Jesus raised back to life Lazarus, who had already died, buried and was decomposing. Of all the religion in the world, it is in Christianity that God’s Resurrection Power is clearly manifested. Most founders of religious faith in the world died and did not resurrect. Jesus, the Son of the Living God, the Author of life and Eternal life has the tremendous capacity for raising the dead and even the dead areas of our lives. Jesus’ Resurrection Power terminates the cessation life in any sphere of our existence.

Jesus the First begotten from the dead and the First to wear a RESURRECTION BODY is Anointed to silence the Spirit of death in our lives. Hebrews 2:14-15 “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death HE might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage”. Jesus is our death offering. He tasted death on our behalf. Today, we must clearly appropriate the Power of His Resurrection. Romans 8:11 “But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you”. On a daily basis we are to present ourselves to that Power that will quicken us and our mortal bodies. Resurrection is the life that cannot be conquered by death. Resurrection is the life that has conquered death and death can no longer hold our life captive. Jesus Christ is the LORD.

PRAYER: Today, I come to JESUS the Resurrection and the life. I believe in Jesus the One who died and rose again. I trust my life to the hand of the Living One – JESUS the Messiah – the One who conquered death on my behalf. I believe the Word of God, I bring all the dead areas of my life to the Conqueror of Death and the One who can raise the dead.
