My brother, you couldn’t have said it any more progressively. With the spate of victory dances and the wild calls for a one Party State by some of the victors’ supporters, you wonder if we are in for unwanted surprises. I think what the Party should be proclaiming strategically is to initiate a new Nigeria after years of untrammeled wandering in the Democratic wilderness. This is like beginning a new Investment. Diversifying in the choice of personnel and allocation of resources are key to success. It does not matter which Party the selections of the Managers favor, let them be Nationalist-Professionals. We cannot afford mistakes this time around. Our leadership in the African hemisphere is overdue not to even think about bringing peace, tranquility and fortitude into our Domestic Political Interaction. We should watch what we say, write and act in these initial bumpy avenues. It is right to celebrate in victory but not drown-drunk in it for there is a treacherous first hundred days waiting that will define the trajectory of this President-Elect and gilt-edged selection of his. The days ahead will be strewn with temptations but if the vigorous mandate of Nigerians is anything to go by in this election, we are on for a real change. We should stop the graffiti wars in the media windows and hunker down for necessary contributions. No blame game this time.
