I have come to the understanding why Nigerian football is struggling. I will fault the organisers of the Etisalat Under 15 School cup for the level of accessing ages of students who are playing in the tournament. A typical example is Greensprings School, representing Lagos in the competition. Having disqualified their 5 players for been overaged, it questions my heart that the Greensprings that i know is a school of integrity about age even during admission of their students, they are very strict and even in competitions they go for, they always ensure the students representing them are not overaged because of their integrity.
My advice to Ibrahim Muhamma, the NSSF President, before organising such competitions, they should have proper machineries that can check the students age, other than using human personnels to just check players age by touching their arms and deciding by that, that they are overage.
I pray Nigeria Football move forward, but with the right people running it.
