Gov. Rotimi Amaechi, Director-General of All Progressives Congress’ (APC) Presidential Campaign Organisation, said on Tuesday that the party would be magnanimous in victory when it takes over power on May 29.

Amaechi, who said this at the party’s secretariat in Abuja, noted that the government of Muhammadu Buhari would be all-inclusive.

“After the announcement, it will become clearer to the nation that APC has won the election and we will be magnanimous in victory.

“We cherish this victory so much but it is not only about celebration, it is about the seriousness of governance and you must see the difference between us the current government.

“If we say there is incompetence, we must show competence; If we say there was corruption, we must show that we will not be corrupt.

“If we say that people were denied their basic right, we must protect the right of people.

“If we say there was impunity, we must govern by the rule of la and once we show that, you will see the basic difference between us and the current government”, Amaechi said.

He noted that the victory of the party at the presidential election was historic as it was the first time in the history of the country’s democracy that an incumbent federal government would be defeated.

“The victory is historical to me. I will be proud to tell my children that for the first time in the history of Nigeria, the opposition party was able to rout the government and party in power.

“We were able to present a different picture of what life looks like which is giving the people the courage to confront the current government on corruption and confront the fact that people were hungry.

“This is because they don’t go to the same market as other Nigerians go.

“They have the kind of funds they want and they eat the kind of food they want to eat but Nigerians were dying of hunger.

“We want to let Nigerians know that Boko Haram was not about religion alone, there was element of poverty and ignorance”, he added.

Amaechi also said that the incoming government would have to deal with falling standard of education and unemployment in the north and in the south.

He added that the Buhari administration would make Nigerians to understand that religion was never an issue in Nigeria.

    JONATHAN WAS ROBBED
The election of this senile, illiterate certificate forger, perjurer, coup plotter, Islamic extremist and pedophile (he married his current wife when she was 9 years of age, and he, 43) is proof that the majority can sometimes be wrong. Apart from the fact that he was credited with millions of fraudulent votes (there was massive and rampant under-age voting, over-voting, as well as involvement of otherwise ineligible voters from neighbouring Chad and Niger republics), the sod was not even qualified to contest because he failed to attach evidence of his non-existent academic qualifications to his nomination form as required by law. Even the way he displayed his ballot paper in the photo above contravenes Nigeria’s electoral laws and is sufficient to earn him disqualification. Furthermore, there are at least 12 cases in Nigerian courts pending against him in respect of perjury and forgery allegations. If Nigeria was not the jungle that it is, this guy belongs either in jail or in the grave. How this character, whose First School Leaving Certificate has not been sighted would be leading a country in the 21st century is something some of us are still battling with. Anyone still wondering why Africa is the way it is? I certainly am not. The most surprising part of all this is that Obama of the U.S (or Kenya) and Cameron of GB have virtually forced this guy on Nigeria and Nigerians by constantly admonishing the electoral Commission to expedite his declaration as the President of Nigeria and I wonder why. I am sure ashamed to be a Nigerian. How can we reward someone who has truncated democracy before, with the highest office in the land?
(This is a reproduction of what I posted on Yahoo. I’ll be taking a break from posting online because Jonathan has left me completely heart-broken with his premature concession and condemnable cowardice).

SADLY, BRUTUSES, WHO MURDERED MCBETH, THE NIGER-DELTA Willingly WORKED HARD AND GAVE THEIR POWER GIVEN TO THEM BY GOD OUT TO NORTHERNERS. CHIBUIKE AMAECHI, ASHOMOLE, CROSS RIVERS AND AKWA=IBOM TOP NIGER-DELTANS WORKED HARD AND DESTROYED THEIR PLACE. I WISH THEM TO RELOCATE TO DAURA AND TAKE UP THEIR POSITIONS AS MINISTERS AND SERVANTS TO THE NEW PRESIDENT. SINCE NIGERIA BEGAN, NIGER-DELTA HAS BEEN SUPPORTING THE NORTH AND THE YORUBAS, THEIR REWARD KILLING OF SARO-WIWA, HARRY MARSHALL, AND USING BRUTE FORCE TO REMOVE THE ONLY POWER THEY EVER HAD THROUGH THE ACCIDENTAL DEATH OF YAR’DUA, WITHOUT YAR’DUAS DEATH POWER WOULD NEVER HAVE RESTED IN NIGER-DELTA THE SHORT TIME IT DID

would u Amaechi have been allowed to do what u did to Jonathan—-to Buhari by the fulani-emirate in Sokoto?—-Would u have had the courage–to attempt to pull down—— a fulani president–like Buhari–? If u talk of corruption its not the likes of u and tinubu that can end corruption in Nigeria–Even Buhari the certificate forger cannot—–Why should we have a man who has no school cert—and another convicted over drug related offence in the US- be the face of change?–its madness for any to tell me that—change by using 4 yr old kids to rig elections–if that is what change means–pls count some of us out of it—Jonathan was rigged out because of his tribal marks period—in 2011—-it was as for do–based on sympathy He must be happy to be going———by now–Unaware he was never regarded as president of Nigeria by d tripod————–for one second–ceremonial at best——–now they have taken their Nigeria back————

Very, very soon, the history of this election will be told and President Jonathan’s legacy would be monumental. Amaechi can never surpass the achievement of Jonathan. No matter what Amaechie has done to bring down his brother from the south south, he cannot reckon with Jonathan. Jonathan has proven to us that he is the greatest democrat that this nation has ever produced. That he conceded defeat is not a sign of weakness, rather he has maintained his principle that “his personal ambition is not worth the shading of blood of any Nigerian”. To me, Jona is a living legend and his name would be written in gold. The action he has so far displayed as the president of this nation has deepened democracy in this nation. He allowed the rule of law to operate, he signed the Freedom of Information bill to law, which necessitated all the insults he was receiving from the likes of Amaechi, there was no political prisoner throughout his presidency, he appointed prof. Jega and gave him free hand to rig him (Jona) out of office, he gave the legal instrument by which the opposition party, APC was registered, Jonathan did not secure kangaroo court judgment to impeach any state governor, he did not remove any speaker of the house of Reps or president of Senate, he did not use EFCC to intimidate political opponents like Tinub, Saraki, who are the most corrupt politicians in Nigeria today, There has not been any political assassination through out his 5 years as the President of Nigeria, unlike what was experienced under OBJ. Jonathan’s administration has laid a solid economic, political legal and democratic foundation for Buhari to take over. It is left to be seen how far Buhari is going to handle the handover note Jonathan would relinquish to him. Jonathan should have nothing to regret for losing this election. Nigerians love him as a person because he has character that should be emulated by politicians who mean well for this nation. Jonathan should quietly go back to his home state, Bayelsa State and wait for the recognition the world will accord him for this brave action he has taken to project democracy in Nigeria. He is a real statesmen in the likes of late Zik of Africa, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwi, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Dr. Nelson Mandela of South Africa, General Gowon and Alhaji Shegu Shagari I congratulate him and wish him the best.
Buhari has worn, even though his victory was not the true reflection of his popularity or acceptance. APC worn the election not because they will fight corruption or defeat boko haram entirely or make our one naira equal to one dollar as Buhari has promised or give job to all applicants in Nigeria, but because of the northern agenda, which has seen them rule this country for more than 40 years of our existence. it is the continuation of this historical facts that gave Buhari veictory, coupled with the collaboration of INEC and Prof. Attahiru Jega. This election was copiously rigged in the north in favour of Buhari. The manipulation of the SCRs in the north by INEC officials assisted Buhari to victory. All the same, I congratulate Buharif or his steadfastness in pursuing his dream of becoming an elected democratic president. it goes to show that he who fights courageously will definitely win the battle. I have never supported him and still do not think he is the best material for this nation in this 21st century. I wish his incoming administration well, but hope that he will not prove me right.

    Nigeria Oil Revenues –
    $70bn : 2010 $99bn : 2011 $94bn : 2012 $84bn : 2013 $77bn : 2014
That is more than US$400Billions (80 TRILLION Naira) of oil under Jonathan-PDP!

Yet the people of Rivers States that voted for PDP suffers, with poor roads, poor electricity, poor water supply, poor schools and poor hospitals until today. Now that Buhari is Nigeria’s president and Amaechi as the director-general of Buhari’s campaign, it is the hope and prayers of Rivers State that Buhari will bring development and progress to the state.
