Sanusi promises rapid growth of Nigerian football
NEWLY appointed general secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Sanusi Mohammed, has promised that his tenure would usher in dramatic growth of the country’s football.
Mohammed, who assumed office on Thursday following the resignation of former general secretary, Musa Amadu, said in his maiden press briefing that he would touch all aspects of Nigerian football to ensure that it moved forward. He, however, pleaded for time to settle down on the job.
The former director of federation’s competitions department, said: “My mission as NFF general secretary would be to develop Nigerian football from the grassroots level. I will put up measures that would ensure we do well in international competitions. I will also make sure that I bring all the members of the football fraternity together to move as one united family without any form of rancour.”
He therefore called on all football stakeholders to rally behind him for the development of the country’s football, stressing that it would only take a united house to achieve records in the NFF.
