INEC moves VP Sambo to `original’ polling unit
Vice-President Namadi Sambo and his wife, Amina on Saturday successfully performed their accreditation using the card reader at their `original’ polling unit at Police College, Swimming Pool Street, Kabala ward, Kaduna.
Sambo and his wife, who arrived at the venue of the exercise around 11.21 a. m., were accredited in less than five minutes by the INEC officials.
Fielding questions from newsmen after the accreditation, Sambo described the turnout of the electorate as “very impressive’’.
He reiterated his appeal for peaceful conduct of the elections
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the vice-president and his wife were moved from their old unit, named 05 to “original 011’’ at Kabala ward by the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC).
The Vice-President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Umar Sani, confirming the change of the polling unit.
Sani commended INEC for bringing back Sambo and his wife to their original polling unit.
