Akinkunmi Oladipupo expresses delight as new secretary of REDAN-FCT

The Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of Nest and Nail Nigeria Limited, Akinkunmi Joseph Oladipupo, has been elected as the Secretary of the Real Estate Developers Association

The Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of Nest and Nail Nigeria Limited, Akinkunmi Joseph Oladipupo, has been elected as the Secretary of the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN), Abuja Chapter (REDAN-FCT, Abuja).

In response to his appointment, Oladipupo expressed his commitment to contributing to the advancement of the real estate sector in Abuja, stating, “I want to express my appreciation to our outgoing Chairman, the Vice President, North Central Zone, Esv Osilama E Osilama for his mentorship and the newly elected Chairman of REDAN FCT, Dr. Anthony Okoruwa, for their trust in me and their dedication and hard work in serving our association. I am grateful for their contributions and look forward to building upon the foundation they have laid”

Adding, “To the executive committee, I am eager to collaborate with you all to ensure that our association continues to thrive and fulfil its mission of supporting and empowering our members. Your guidance, support, and expertise will be invaluable as we navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.”

Acknowledging the significant housing deficit in Nigeria, Oladipupo highlighted the urgency of addressing this issue and improving the state of the real estate industry. He emphasized the need for collaboration within REDAN-FCT, Abuja, to work towards a united and transparent association.

As the newly appointed secretary, Oladipupo outlined his responsibilities, including working closely with the REDAN FCT Chairman, Dr. Anthony Okoruwa, to ensure effective management of the association. He stressed the importance of maintaining accurate records, organising meetings, and fostering communication among members.

Oladipupo emphasised his plans to foster communication and collaboration among members by encouraging open dialogue, setting clear team goals, and ensuring transparency within the secretariat. He expressed his commitment to engaging both existing and potential members to share the association’s agenda and action plans.

Furthermore, Oladipupo outlined his strategy for advocating for the interests of real estate developers in Abuja to government agencies and regulatory bodies. He emphasised the importance of addressing challenges such as professional quackery, scarcity of skilled labor, and building collapses through collaboration with stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

In line with national development goals, Oladipupo pledged to contribute to sustainable and responsible real estate development practices in Abuja.

He highlighted the potential of the real estate sector to create jobs and address economic challenges, stressing the need for government support to boost the sector’s growth.

Looking ahead, Oladipupo outlined his short-term and long-term goals for the Abuja chapter, including fostering unity, commissioning mass housing projects, and bridging the housing deficit significantly.
